The History Of Photography

History Of Photography

The history of photography is quite interesting, the creators had to correct several obscurities. The inventors of the photograph are Nicéphore Niépce, Louis Daguerre, and Frederick Scott Archer. But how the photograph was invented was when Fox Talbot produced his first successful photograph in 1834, without a camera, by placing objects onto paper brushed with light-sensitive silver chloride, which he then exposed to sunlight. But the first photograph taken with a camera was in 1826, the photo was taken by Nicéphore Niépce. Photographs were originally meant to assist the artist along with the art piece. Little did the creators know that it would become an art all on its own.

The oldest photo that was ever taken, or that has survived at least, was taken in 1826 or 1827. The person who invented the camera is Johann Zahn, he made this device in 1685. But the first photograph was taken in 1814. The first mention of this device was in 1021 by a scientist in Iraqi named Ibn- al- Haytham, he mentioned a device like a camera in his book. Without the camera we would not have motion pictures, the inventor of film was Thomas Edison and Eadweard Muybridge. This industry is now booming with success.

The first self-portrait was ever taken by Robert Cornelius. He took this photo by taking the lens cap off and running to where he posed for the photo for a whole minute. Cornelius was an amateur chemist, it appears that he switched career paths part way through and became a photographer.
